The Making of the Statue

Paul Daly was born and raised in Raheny, Dublin. He is a self-taught artist/sculptor who can paint in any medium and sculpt any subject, with commissioned works including murals and paintings for pubs, painting for calendars,  Christmas cards, landscapes, model ships, and select portraits, 

Paul has created sculptures from Rock heroes like Phillip Lynott and Rory Gallagher to other musical and historical legends like Luke Kelly, Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, Marvel heroes, Arnie, George Best, Marilyn Monroe, Conor McGregor, Bono, Napoleon, horses, and dogs.

He worked with Sullivan Bluth Studios for a number of years on two animated movies, An American Tale and The Land Before Time, both Steven Spielberg movies.

Paul’s first major attempt at sculpture was the maquette submitted for the Phillip Lynott Life Size Commission.

His ambition has always been to be a successful artist.
